"SACK 'EM ALL"
In a country that her President is sick and flown outside the country urgently for medical attention, so called "Resident Doctors" who are suppose to be sober, are embarking on a strike and to what effect: Welfare! Welfare!!
As far as they are concerned the well-being of their President is not their business. if you ask me, my candid opinion is "they resign shamefully" for not being able to cater for the health of their president.
It is really a pity that even intelligent Nigerians are trying to reason with them. In other countries, that we know, their Ministers of Health would have reigned, followed by other key players in the Health Sector but in Nigeria, the reverse is the case. "The government has remained insensitive to the plight of doctors"...that's what they would say.
My question is: Are doctors sensitive to the health and lives of those they are going to leave unattended to in hospitals and health centres?
Who is fooling who? Pot calling Kettle black!!!
My resolution is this: SACK 'EM ALL!!! Get us doctors from Israel, India and the likes and we know that it is on contract bases that they are offering their services and as such terms and conditions must be meant.
Everybody wants the government to make sacrifices but no one is ready to make sacrifice for the country or government. THINK OF WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR THE COUNTRY NIGERIA AND NOT WHAT THE COUNTRY WILL ALWAYS DO FOR YOU. Be patriotic and stop the habit of fault finding.
Make out time to recite the national pledge loud enough to the hearing of not just you but your neighbors. Then you will know that indeed you have failed on your part as a Nigerian.
