WHAT IS ROOTING?
According to Wikipedia, Rooting (Android OS) is the process of allowing users of smartphones, tablets and other devices running the Android mobile operating system to attain privileged control (known as root access) over various Android subsystems. As Android uses the Linux kernel, rooting an Android device gives similar access to administrative (superuser) permissions as on Linux or any other Unix-like operating system such as FreeBSD or OS X.
Before now, I loved the Java OS, Symbian OS and the likes because they allowed you to use third party applications with little or no restrictions. Then came the BlackBerry OS! I hated it so much reason been that it comes with lots of restrictions. You are not allowed to install or use applications from other developers other than theirs and most times the best you will find among their list will not be for free.
With the introduction of the Android OS, a turn around happened. People like myself became happy again to own a smartphone. And to make things more light for the users of this OS, there came the process called ROOTING.
This process enables the user of the OS remove all the restrictions put in place by carriers or the manufacturers. You will now be able to uninstall applications that are not useful and are just there updating itself, wasting your data, time and eating up space.
Now that I know what rooting is all about, convince me why I need to root my phone!
WONDERFUL REASONS WHY YOU NEED TO ROOT YOUR DEVICE:
1. Completely uninstall those unwanted applications that eat up space!
Until you root your phone, you will not know the amount of space you will have when you delete these crapwares that tend to eat of space, low down your phone with their background updates, waste your money and rundown your phone battery life.
These applications will not go until a proper rooting is done. So make sure you remove them and enjoy your device without unnecessary pop-ups.
2. You will be able to Access to all the ristricted corners of your Android device
I do not know whether most of you have experienced this. It mostly occurs in HTC phones where a particular key will have a particular character written on but when you want to use it, it will display another character...that will become a thing of the past when you root your phone because you will be able to assign the keys appropriately with Keyboard Manager. You will have good scrolling speed, improved multi-tasking and add more themes to your device.
3. Get those annoying ads off the way!
In as much as I would want ads to display, as its a way of making money for some of us, it becomes annoying when you don't have control over them. Rooting your phone will give to you the power to stop them! You think going into plane mode is going to help you, then you need to have a rethink. See you blocking yourself also from acessing social media and even receiving calls.
4. Having full control of your device.
Think of buying a phone and someone is telling you, when to and when not to use it...how would you feel? This is what happens when all those restrictions from the manufacturers and carriers tend to block you from fully owning your device. So removing them will give you the control you have been longing for.
NOTE THIS!
Don't try to root someone's phone without express permission from same. Want to risk it? Use your phone!!!
Now that you know that rooting gives you full control over your phone, What is the key to rooting my phone...The next POST will tell you that>>>>
