MTN has taken the fight against free browsing too far this time. They have taken it to the camp of innocent people, passers-by and even on-lookers.
This time it is no retreat, no surrender. In one of the most deadliest of MTN is to disconnect any sim that is so possessed with the spirit of free browsing from receiving MTN network, but that is not the end of the battle.
Airtel started a ministry where you can pay for BIS and still use it for any other device including your modem on PC and later MTN discovered the importance of this allowance to the overall turn-up of revenue and they keyed in.I believe MTN would have told themselves that it was the biggest mistake they have ever made.
Before now, it was really possible for you to subscribe to a BIS plan with MTN and use it on your PC by changing your APN to blackberry.net and people were enjoying it because of the large data allowance it comes with but soon young men discovered that it can be used for selfish purposes.
THE BAD NEWS
MTN has finally blocked that process of tethering with BIS and the effect is that Blackberry services are now strictly for BlackBerries, nothing more, nothing less.
So if you have the mind of using MTN BIS for other devices before now, quickly change it because you will be disappointed and frustrated.
SOLUTION:
If you still want to pay for BIS and use it for other devices, I recommend Airtel for you. For now, they the only ones we can trust with their ever blazing 3G network and wide coverage.
The fight is really on, no low cost tariff again like SuperSaver...When MTN decides to punish the wicked, no one is exempted, even the old woman in the most remotest part of the country is affected, as far as she receives and makes call with the network!
Abeg, good people of the country, which way forward na?
