THE NIGERIA CUSTOMS RECRUITMENT SCAM

PUBLIC NOTICE ON JOB SCAM

The attention of Nigerians have been drawn to purported job vacancy/opening by The Nigeria Customs Service online, that is, via the internet as fraudulent. According to a publicity on the Commission's website, activities of web scammers are on the rise and that they have floated websites to lure innocent Nigerians in. Some of the websites they use include:
www.nigeriacustoms.net
www.nigeriacustomsservice.net
www.nigeriacustomsservice.org
www.customsng.com
www.nigeriacustomservice.net

This in addition to various Facebook accounts in the name of the Comptroller-General etc. These sites and mediums are used to defraud innocent Nigerians in the name of job offer or placement in the service or auctioning of cars or other properties or even contracts.

They even go ahead to publish fake names on the sites of supposedly successful candidates who are waiting for training as baits to others.

According the Commission, they did their last recruitment in the year 2011 and ever since has not placed any advert concerning that.
